Grandinetti, Police Captain <br /> DATE: 1/15/2015 <br /> Approval to Purchase Two (2) UTV Beach Police <br /> RE: Vehicles and associated equipment not to exceed <br /> $25,077.52 <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached <br /> resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase Two (2) Honda <br /> Pioneer 700 4x4 UTV's and associated equipment not to exceed <br /> $25,077.52 <br /> REASONS: <br /> The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department's Community Policing Unit <br /> has the need to rotate their beach vehicles to assure the safety and <br /> reliability of its equipment to the officers. These Beach Vehicle will <br /> replace the two (2) existing beach vehicles that are over five (5) years <br /> old. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> These beach vehicles will be purchased from ARS Powersports, <br /> through the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract #14-12-0904.
