Approval is being sought to renew the agreement for an <br />additional one-year term, as permitted under the contract, through a final amendment. The renewal <br />will establish a total contract amount not to exceed $892,968.40, with approximately $250,000 <br />allocated in the budget for the upcoming year. This amendment will enable the Police Department to <br />deploy thirteen (13) crossing guards and one (1) supervisor at designated locations throughout the City, <br />helping to ensure that students and other pedestrians cross safely. <br />The City is piggybacking the City of Miami's contract # 1164387(27), titled "School Crossing Guard <br />Services" active through June 5, 2027. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />Pursuant to the Code of Ordinance § 62-6(d), all purchases of and contracts for equipment, supplies and <br />contractual services, when the estimated cost shall exceed $50,000.00 shall be based on competitive <br />bids. <br />A complete copy of the contract file, including all exhibits and attachments, is on file with the Office of <br />the City Clerk and is available upon request. <br />Item Number: 9.0 <br />209 <br />
