IRUNIFIED <br />TECHNOLOGIES1901111 <br />PhaseGovernmentCenter <br />Fiber <br />In this phase, the focus is on converting the existing 4500 core switch into a dedicated fiber <br />aggregation switch to support the existing 1 G fiber uplinks. All physical work for relocating or re - <br />terminating fiber connections will be performed by the Client. R2 will complete all configuration, <br />routing updates, and validation remotely once the Client has completed the physical cabling <br />changes. <br />R2 Responsibilities: <br />Reconfigure 4500 to fiber aggregation switch <br />• Mans will be mapped and layer 2 trunks created between new and old cores <br />• Enable BGP between new Edge switch and aggregation switches; Radio and fiber <br />• Tune BGP to prefer fiber links over radio, use radio links as backup paths <br />® Implement BGP routing <br />• BGP dynamic routing in Government Center and bring up peering's between Radio <br />aggregation switch and Core, as well as fiber aggregation switch and Core <br />® Layer 3 gateway move <br />• Layer 3 gateways will be moved over to new core, old core will act as an aggregation <br />switch during the transition. <br />• Fiber uplink migration and connectivity testing <br />• Connectivity validation <br />• Redundancy and failover tests <br />• Performance and throughput testing <br />• Remote assist with migration of fiber links from old fiber aggregation switch to 4500 <br />(links can be moved over all at once or one at a time) <br />Client Responsibilities: <br />* Provide remote access to network devices for configuration and integration <br />Perform all onsite physical tasks, including moving 1 G fiber uplinks to the 4500 <br />® Ensure physical cabling, fiber paths, and switch connections are ready for R2 to validate <br />remotely <br />* Participate in configuration reviews to ensure alignment with technical requirements <br />® Provide timely feedback or approval for any configuration changes <br />® Provide staff to perform user acceptance testing and confirm functionality during test <br />validation activities <br />Required Resources: <br />• R2 lead engineer <br />• Client technical representative(s) <br />Statement of Work page 10 of 40 <br />
