BA developed and evaluated multiple site planning alternatives for the City <br />of Miami Springs’ Senior Center, creating a facility that expands services for <br />older adults while maximizing functionality on a constrained site. Designed <br />with safety and accessibility as primary considerations, the project carefully <br />accommodates pedestrian circulation among the adjacent ballfield, <br />playground, and new restroom facilities. <br />The new Senior Center enables the city’s Elderly Services Department <br />to provide a comprehensive range of programs and resources, including <br />congregate and home-delivered meals, nutrition counseling, health and <br />wellness activities, recreation, transportation, adult education, screening <br />and assessment services, advocacy, and referral assistance. <br />Through thoughtful planning and design, BA created a welcoming <br />community hub that supports active aging, promotes social engagement, <br />and enhances the quality of life for local residents.
