BA was selected by the Hollywood CRA to provide urban planning and
design services for the transformation of Hollywood Boulevard and Tyler
Street between Young Circle and N. 21st Avenue. The study evaluated
multiple streetscape alternatives that enhanced the pedestrian experience,
improved the public realm, and supported downtown vitality while
maintaining roadway functionality and maximizing on-street parking.
Our team conducted feasibility, drainage, and constructability analyses
for each alternative and developed illustrative site plans and full-color
renderings that explored hardscape materials, landscaping, lighting, and
street furnishings. Where parking impacts occurred, BA identified practical
mitigation strategies to support local businesses and visitors.
A key component of the project was an extensive public engagement
process led by BA, which gathered input from business owners, residents,
stakeholders, and elected officials. Their feedback helped shape the final
concepts, resulting in a balanced vision that enhances downtown character,
supports economic activity, and creates a more attractive, walkable, and
connected urban environment.
HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD STREETSCAPE MASTER PLAN
Hollywood, Florida
CLIENT
City of Hollywood
COST
$11 million
COMPLETION
2023
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Urban Planning and Design, Landscape
Architecture, and Public involvement Services
71 | CiTY OF SUNNY iSLES BEACH | RFQ #26-07-01 CONTiNUiNG PROFESSiONAL ARCHiTECTURAL AND ENGiNEERiNG CONSULTiNG SERViCES (CCNA)
