Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc.
A SAFEbuilt Company
City of Sunny Isles Beach, FL | RFQ # 26-07-01 | Continuing Professional Architectural and Engineering Consulting Services (CCNA) | 115
Stakeholder Input (Continued)
One often-underestimated “Stakeholder” is the City’s own maintenance staff. The CGA team requests meetings with staff involved
in operation of the completed project to make sure they are satisfied and any special requests are incorporated early in the design
process. When requested, CGA can also utilize our interactive resident voting devices to obtain quick and effective input from
residents as well as create electronic surveys for obtaining anonymous input or input from stakeholders unable to attend meetings.
Preparation of Preliminary Deliverables
CGA will prepare preliminary plans and technical memorandums for review by the City prior to proceeding with the design to
confirm the agreed upon scope of work is provided. Examples of these documents include but are not limited to:
• Preliminary roadway and drainage alignment plans
• Preliminary water, wastewater, and stormwater design plans
• Preliminary landscape architectural design plans
• Recommended typical cross section(s) for proposed roadway improvements
Bidding/Award/Notice-to-Proceed
When the scope of work requires a competitive bid process, the CGA Team can assist the City with the bid management process
to include Advertisement, Pre-bid meeting and minutes, Response to bidders’ questions, Preparation and issuance of addenda,
Evaluation of bids and preparation of a bid evaluation letter for award of the construction contract.
Construction Administration
During construction, CGA will be available to provide any necessary technical assistance and respond to questions from contractors
and the City. CGA will aggressively pursue the completion of each phase of a project. Again, CGA has vast experience with local
municipalities, and we are aware of the sensitive nature of budgets, neighborhood impacts, and schedules.
Authorization Closeout
Once all tasks have been completed, the Project Manager will work with the City’s representative to close out the project, including
the punch list process and closing out any required grant applications and open permits.
Delivering Services On Time and Within Budget
During our time in business, we have built and maintained a trustworthy and reliable reputation throughout the State of Florida,
giving our partners confidence in our ability to successfully and safely deliver services on time and within budget, day in and
day out.
We recognize the importance of staying on schedule and keeping up with the volume of work. Our team uses best practices to meet
the City’s requirements, managing projects effectively and efficiently. CGA prides itself on quality, timeliness, and teamwork in our
partnerships with clients to keep delivering the very best service to the City.
Monitoring Schedule and Review Times
CGA recognizes the importance of providing our clients with quality work that meets the agreed upon schedule. The CGA team has
a proven record of completing projects on time or ahead of schedule. Our understanding of scheduling requirements and overall
procedures, preferences, and standards has been acquired and perfected over our long history of working with clients on their
critical projects.
Due to our already strong presence in Florida, we can quickly and easily deploy qualified staff to support our on-demand contracts.
Once assigned to a project, our core team members remain dedicated to that project until completion. If any personnel changes
occur during the life of the contract, CGA will immediately notify the City of the situation.
Approach to Meeting Desired Timelines and Deadlines
