He has served as a water treatment <br />plant operator, water and sewer vocational instructor, Superintendent of <br />Public Works, Utilities Director/Utilities Superintendent and Director of <br />Planning and Development for various municipal entities in Florida. <br /> <br />Selected Relative Experience: <br /> <br />City of Sebring – Water Treatment Plant Operator, Sebring, Florida <br />Project Dates: 1985-1989 <br />As Water Treatment Plant Operator, Mr. Shrum was responsible <br />for monitoring and operating the equipment within the City’s water <br />treatment plant, ensuring the water being produced met safety standards, <br />including collecting samples for testing, maintaining equipment, recording <br />and maintaining operational data, and adhering to all regulatory guidelines <br />set by environmental agencies like the EPA, all while prioritizing safety <br />procedures. <br /> <br />Town of Zolfo Springs – Superintendent of Public Works, Hardee County, <br />Florida <br />Project Dates: 1992-1993 <br />Responsible for managing, operating and maintaining the Town’s utility <br />infrastructure. <br /> <br />Town of Lake Placid Regional Utilities – Utilities Director, Lake Placid, <br />Florida <br />Project Dates: 1993-1997 <br />Responsible for the Town’s drinking water, wastewater treatment facility, <br />and reclaimed water infrastructure.
