<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RECORD ENTERPRISE TELEVISION STUDIOS <br />Lighthouse Point, Florida <br /> <br />Client: RETV <br />Reference: Wilon Cardoso <br />Professional Services Completed: 2015 <br />Construction Completed: 2020 <br />Construction Cost: $12 M <br />Crain’s Role: Prime A/E Consultant <br />Services: Architecture • Civil • Structural • Mechanical • Electrical • Plumbing • Stormwater • <br />Site Planning • Interior Design • Life Safety <br />PROJECT OVERVIEW <br />Crain Atlantis served as Prime A/E <br />Consultant for the transformation of an <br />existing 25,000-SF commercial/retail <br />building and 1.25-acre site into a full- <br />service television broadcast studio. <br />Crain coordinated and prepared the <br />architectural and multidisciplinary <br />engineering construction documents, <br />providing an integrated design for a <br />highly specialized facility with complex <br />building, site, technology, security, and <br />life-safety requirements. <br />CRAIN ATLANTIS' ROLE <br />Integrated A/E Design <br />Provided architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and environmental <br />engineering services, together with stormwater management, site planning, and interior design. <br /> <br />Specialized Broadcast Facilities <br />Designed recording rooms, dressing rooms, a technical data facility, professional chroma studio, and <br />main studio with suspended grids. Acoustical design was incorporated into walls, ceilings, and roof <br />assemblies to control unwanted noise. <br /> <br />Life Safety & Security <br />Designed life-safety and security improvements including controlled entry points, biometric and card- <br />reader access control, fire sprinkler systems, and dry fire suppression systems serving the studios. <br /> <br />Building Systems & Structural Coordination <br />Designed modifications to the existing roof structure to accommodate 14 rooftop units and associated <br />chiller systems, requiring close coordination among architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. <br /> <br />Visualization & Client Coordination <br />Crain's architectural team prepared a physical building model and 3D renderings of the exterior and <br />lobby to communicate the design to the client <br />
