<br />First and foremost, Cummins Cederberg is among the
<br />largest Florida-based coastal and marine engineering
<br />firms, specializing in complex engineering and

<br />advanced degrees, professional certifications such

<br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Our multidisciplinary team
<br />includes coastal engineers, marine structural engineers,
<br />engineer divers, resiliency planners, environmental
<br />consultants, regulatory specialists, and marine
<br />scientists with extensive experience delivering shoreline
<br />stabilization, coastal resilience, environmental permitting,
<br />marine and waterfront infrastructure, waterfront parks,
<br />living shorelines, environmental monitoring, marine
<br />inspections, grant support, construction administration,
<br />and regulatory coordination.
<br />UNDERSTANDING THE SCOPE
<br />Cummins Cederberg understands the City of Sunny
<br />Isles Beach requires a highly qualified coastal and
<br />environmental consulting team capable of supporting a
<br />wide range of shoreline, waterfront, environmental, and
<br />resiliency initiatives through this continuing services
<br />contract. The City’s approximately 2.4 miles of Atlantic
<br />Ocean shoreline, navigable waterways, seawalls, parks,
<br />public beaches, and coastal infrastructure require ongoing
<br />engineering, environmental, permitting, and construction
<br />support to protect public assets, maintain environmental
<br />compliance, and enhance community resilience.

<br />providing firsthand evaluation of shoreline conditions, coastal
<br />processes, waterfront infrastructure, and environmental resources.
<br />His direct involvement in data collection and site assessments,
<br />combined with our experience in beach nourishment, living
<br />shorelines, seawall design, environmental permitting, and marine
<br />infrastructure, enables Cummins Cederberg to develop practical,
<br />science-based solutions that are responsive to site-specific
<br />conditions and community needs.

<br />Through our direct experience supporting the City,
<br />Cummins Cederberg understands the importance of
<br />balancing coastal protection, environmental stewardship,
<br />public access, regulatory compliance, and long-term
<br />resiliency planning. We recognize that assignments issued
<br />under this contract may include shoreline stabilization,
<br />beach nourishment and monitoring, marine structural
<br />assessments, seawall improvements, underwater
<br />inspections, environmental permitting, marine resource
<br />evaluations, grant support, construction administration,
<br />and post-storm response services. These projects often
<br />involve coordination with multiple regulatory agencies
<br />including DERM, FDEP, USACE, and other resource
<br />agencies while maintaining sensitivity to schedule, budget,
<br />environmental constraints, and community priorities.
