RFQ #26-07-01 | 100 <br /> <br />Jonathan Somonte <br />CEI SENIOR INSPECTOR <br /> <br /> <br />Summary <br />Mr. Somonte has 17 years of experience as a senior inspector in major roadway and bridge <br />construction projects owned by FDOT D4 & D6, and the Turnpike. <br />M.E.I. South Dade Maintenance/Permit Inspections <br />CLIENT FDOT District 6 | ROLE Senior Inspector <br />Responsible for identifying work needs and generating work estimates, creating the notice to <br />proceed, the contract maintenance work document, and the work out to contractors. As a senior <br />inspector, Jonathan monitored the work in a QC/QA capacity, checking that it was compliant <br />with specs and verifying all completed quantities. Filled out pay item extensions and monitored <br />contract balances and remaining available funds. Identified and confirmed lighting outages and <br />inspected the lighting systems on the FDOT-maintained highways. <br />I-95 Express Lanes Phase 3A-1 <br />CLIENT FDOT District 4 | ROLE Senior Inspector <br />Miami Design-Build Project included design and construction for converting the existing High <br />Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lanes to Managed Lanes and widening to achieve two tolled Express <br />Lanes in each direction. The number of existing General Use and Auxiliary Lanes remained the <br />same. New Auxiliary Lanes were added in the northbound and southbound directions between <br />the Oakland Park Boulevard and Commercial Boulevard Interchanges. Access to the Express <br />Lanes was designed to be limited to designated ingress and egress locations—between <br />Broward Blvd. and Sunrise Blvd., between Sunrise Blvd. and Oakland Park Blvd., and between <br />Oakland Park Blvd. and Commercial Blvd. The Express Lanes implemented congestion-based <br />toll pricing. The facility employed Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) via the Florida’s Turnpike <br />Enterprise’s (FTE) SunPass system. <br />I-95/Express Lanes/North of Commercial Blvd. (SR 870) to SW 10th Street, FIN# 433108-5-52-01 <br />CLIENT FDOT District 4 | ROLE Roadway/Bridge Inspector <br />Project consisted of 7 miles of major roadway reconstruction with signalized intersections, <br />French drains, culverts, auger cast piles, sound walls, bulkhead wall with steel sheet piles, new <br />overhead sign structures, new drainage structures, erosion control fabri-form riprap, street <br />lighting system, and new roadway signs. Responsibilities included all field inspections, which <br />included soil compacting testing, drainage installation, concrete placement and sampling, <br />stabilizing of subgrade, placing of lime rock and asphalt base, asphalt construction, auger cast <br />piles, MSE wall erection, installation of new traffic intersection, concrete class V finish, and the <br />fire suppression system pressure testing. Also input dailies into Site Manager (FDOT’s program <br />for inputting the work of each day).
