R E L E VA N T E X P E R I E N C E <br />Golden Beach Wellness Center <br />LO CATION <br />Town of Golden Beach, <br />FL <br />SI ZE <br />10,000 SF <br />S COPE <br />Design Services <br />CO MP L ETI ON <br />2026 <br />COST <br />$5,200,000 <br />EXPERT I SE <br />Civic, Community <br />Center <br />Dempsey Design was Lead Architect for this 10,000 SF civic community center <br />for the Town of Golden Beach, FL, under Town Manager Alexander Diaz. <br />Challenges: Located on a compact coastal site with strict zoning and FEMA <br />flood elevation requirements, the project balances architectural character, <br />community identity, and hurricane resilience. The program combines a gym, <br />spa, and community spaces within a constrained footprint while addressing <br />accessibility, circulation, and stormwater management. <br />Our Approach: We developed a spiral-inspired plan and roof form expressing <br />movement, wellness, and community. Working closely with Jezerinac Group <br />and ECF Consultants, we resolved the complex geometry within a resilient <br />concrete structure. The project was fully modeled in Revit, enabling <br />multidisciplinary coordination and continuous cost evaluation throughout <br />design. <br />Benefits: The Golden Beach Wellness Center creates a distinctive civic <br />landmark focused on wellness and community.
