R E L E VA N T E X P E R I E N C E <br />Urban Roast Restaurant <br />LO CATION <br />West Palm Beach, FL <br />SI ZE <br />2,800 SF <br />S COPE <br />Design Services <br />CO MP L ETI ON <br />2025 <br />COST <br />$800,000 <br />EXPERT I SE <br />Restaurant <br />Dempsey Design served as Lead Architect for this 2,800 SF restaurant fit-out in <br />downtown West Palm Beach, transforming an existing commercial shell into a <br />contemporary hospitality destination. <br />Challenges: Located within a constrained urban shell space, the project faced <br />significant mechanical, landlord, and infrastructure limitations. The existing <br />building provided no practical route for kitchen exhaust or makeup air, <br />requiring an innovative kitchen strategy and careful coordination of building <br />systems. Midway through design, the property was acquired by a new landlord, <br />requiring renewed approvals and alignment between ownership, consultants, <br />and the restaurant operator while maintaining project momentum. <br />Our Approach: Working closely with the client, consultants, and new <br />ownership team, Dempsey Design developed an efficient kitchen and front-of- <br />house layout that maximized functionality within the existing building <br />constraints.
