<br />Senior Landscape Architect
<br />Chris Phillips, PLA, ASLA, will serve as Senior Landscape Architect for the City of
<br />Sunny Isles Beach. Chris brings extensive experience delivering parks, public spaces,
<br />streetscapes, memorials, recreational facilities, and civic campus improvements
<br />for municipalities throughout South Florida. His experience includes project
<br />management, public engagement, stakeholder coordination, and multidisciplinary
<br />design leadership on complex public projects. Chris supports the successful delivery
<br />of landscape architecture projects from concept development through construction
<br />implementation while maintaining a strong focus on community character and user
<br />experience.

<br />Town Center Park Playground Renovation, Sunny Isles Beach, FL: Task Manager.
<br />Supported landscape architecture services for the renovation of a community park
<br />located within the City’s Town Center Park. Improvements included playground
<br />enhancements, landscape upgrades, and integration of park amenities within a site
<br />containing preserved wetland features.
<br />DC Alexander Park, Fort Lauderdale, FL: Project Manager. Managed landscape
<br />architecture and public space design services for an award-winning oceanfront park
<br />redevelopment project. The project incorporated shoreline habitat enhancements,
<br />stormwater mitigation strategies, public gathering areas, and resilient landscape
<br />features designed to support both recreation and environmental sustainability.
<br />Gary Matzner Park, Pinecrest, FL: Project Manager. Managed development of a
<br />3.75-acre community park serving as a gateway feature for the Village of Pinecrest.
<br />Improvements included nature-based play areas, exercise trails, gathering spaces,
<br />landscape enhancements, and preservation of a significant Heritage Oak tree.
<br />Champlain Tower South Surfside Memorial, Surfside, FL: Task Manager. Supported
<br />planning and design of the Champlain Tower South Memorial. The project required
<br />extensive stakeholder engagement, public outreach, grant-funded implementation
<br />planning, and coordination with multiple local, county, state, and federal agencies.
<br />Pine Trail Park Playground Update, Parkland, FL: Project Manager. Managed
<br />landscape architecture services supporting revitalization of an existing municipal park
<br />under a continuing services contract. Improvements included playground upgrades,
<br />landscape enhancements, drainage improvements, site lighting, and accessible
<br />recreational amenities.
<br />Government Center Breezeway, Coconut Creek, FL: Project Manager. Managed
<br />landscape architecture and master planning services supporting improvements to the
<br />Government Center campus. The project included hardscape and softscape design,
<br />public gathering spaces, civic enhancements, and integration of public art features.
<br />Mount Sinai Baywalk, Miami Beach, FL: Project Manager. Supported feasibility and
<br />conceptual design for approximately 3,500 linear feet of public waterfront baywalk
<br />and multi-use trail improvements. The project included pedestrian circulation
<br />enhancements, tree preservation, crosswalk connections, public gathering areas,
<br />and coordination among landscape architecture, survey, utility, and civil engineering
<br />disciplines supporting a highly visible waterfront corridor.
