Department uses laser scanning technology. As well
<br />as collecting data quickly, laser scanning is a perfect
<br />solution for projects which are relatively inaccessible,
<br />have complex detail or are unsafe to survey in the
<br />traditional way. Our market for this technology
<br />expanded as we also provided interior and structure
<br />scanning.
<br />Based on our current workload, our staff utilization
<br />rate is 65%, which is below our targeted utilization
<br />of 70%, allowing us to have sufficient staff for this
<br />Contract.

<br />For more than half a decade, Miller Legg has successfully
<br />designed public projects from streetscapes to large
<br />regional parks. We are best qualified as our diverse
<br />experience has resulted in projects that successfully
<br />integrate landscape architecture, surveying and
<br />mapping, engineering and environmental services.
<br />Miller Legg develops solutions that respond to the
<br />natural environment, respect the social fabric and
<br />create sustainable recreational facility spaces.
<br />Our Principal for this project, Michael Kroll, RLA,
<br />FASLA, will provide the necessary direction and be
<br />responsible for the quality and timeliness of the work
<br />products for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, as he has
<br />done under our current Continuing Contract. Mike
<br />has nearly 40 years of design experience in Florida
<br />on hundreds of streetscapes, passive and active park
<br />projects and has the necessary management skills to
<br />effectively coordinate with the City, ensuring clear
<br />communication and an efficient planning and design
<br />process.
<br />Miller Legg is well versed in the coordination of
<br />multiple tasks that occur under a Consulting Services
<br />Contract. To address the broad range of tasks, the
<br />Team will have the in-house support of professional
<br />staff which include not only Registered Landscape
<br />Architects, Certified Arborists, Certified Landscape
<br />Inspectors, but also Registered Surveyors, Certified
<br />Survey Technicians, and GIS Professionals.
<br />Professional services provided by Miller Legg which
<br />may be required to successfully achieve the City’s
<br />vision include Landscape Architecture, Site Master
<br />Planning, Urban Design Plans/Concepts, Beach/
<br />Dunescaping, Low Impact/Irrigation Design Solutions,
<br />Certified Arborist tree services, Project Permitting,
<br />Plans Review, Project Administration, Park Design,
<br />Code Reviews, Streetscape Planning, and Construction
<br />Administration as needed.
<br />For Surveying and Mapping qualifications, Miller Legg
<br />will provide in-house a variety of surveys including land
<br />surveying such as boundary, land title, route, right-
<br />of-way, platting, design and control, topographic,
<br />Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), as-built, tree,
<br />and hydrographic surveys, construction layout,
<br />Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) surveys,
<br />FEMA elevation certificates, field monumentation,
<br />sketches and descriptions for acquisitions and
<br />easements, GPS data collection and LIDAR scanning.
<br />In addition, we provide quantity (earthwork) surveys,
<br />condominium surveys, title document analysis, plot
