For a continuing services contract, where assignments may vary considerably in size, scope, and <br />urgency, this principal-led approach allows Schindler Architects to remain accessible, flexible, <br />and responsive to the City's needs. <br />3.3 Municipal & Public Sector Expertise <br />Schindler Architects has extensive experience providing architectural services for municipal, <br />county, and other public-sector clients throughout South Florida. This experience has given the <br />firm a practical understanding of the accountability, coordination, and responsiveness required <br />when working with public agencies. <br />The firm’s public-sector portfolio includes municipal buildings, transportation and aviation <br />facilities, community facilities, educational environments, historic properties, accessibility <br />improvements, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects. Assignments have ranged from targeted <br />facility improvements to the renovation and rehabilitation of complex, actively occupied public <br />facilities. <br />Recent work includes continuing architectural services for the City of Miami Beach, including <br />rehabilitation and reglazing of the historic Bass Museum, as well as assignments for Miami-Dade <br />County involving facilities at Miami International Airport. Schindler has also completed work for <br />the Miami-Dade County General Services Administration on adaptive-reuse and fleet- <br />maintenance facilities. <br />This experience enables Schindler Architects to understand the priorities that accompany public <br />projects, including responsible use of public funds, maintaining facility operations, coordinating <br />with agency staff and stakeholders, meeting regulatory requirements, and delivering projects within <br />established budgets and schedules.
