Miami-Dade County owns local NW 74th Street and NW 69th Avenue and will continue to be maintained and operated by Miami-Dade County after the completion of this project.
<br />FDOT D4, Broward Commuter Rail (BCR) South PD&E Study | Project Engineer - Mr. Leon oversaw the utility coordination, utility assessment package, and project scheduling to extend commuter rail service on the FEC Railway corridor from the planned passenger station in the City of Aventura N. to Fort Lauderdale, 11.5-miles. Stations are recommended in the City of Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and Broward Health Medical Center. The Medical Center station provides access to downtown Fort Lauderdale, Broward County Convention Center, Port Everglades, and the beaches.

<br />City of Cooper City, Hiatus Road, and NE Lake Blvd Roundabout Improvements (MAP), Cooper City, FL | Engineer of Record - Providing traffic and transportation engineering services to Cooper City as part of the Continuing Engineering Consultant Services Contract. The Hiatus Road and NE Lake Blvd roundabout improvements are part of a variety of traffic and transportation engineering services, including signing and pavement markings intersection analysis, signalization analysis and design, roundabout analysis and design, roadway level of service analysis, public school traffic operational analysis, city-wide traffic modeling, corridor signal timing progression analysis, traffic calming, and neighborhood traffic mitigation, responded to citizen inquiries and coordinated the interests of the city with Broward County Traffic Engineering Division, FDOT District 4 and other key stakeholder government agencies.
<br />City of Cooper City, Hiatus Road Roundabout, Cooper City, FL | Quality Control - Responsible for reviewing (QC) the construction documents to introduce a new roundabout at the intersection of Hiatus Road and NE Lake Boulevard. This project includes a complete roadway reconstruction of the intersection to construct a new roundabout, new signing and pavement markings, new drainage system, and new landscape. This project is being proposed to introduce safety at this intersection.
<br />City of Miami, La Pastorita Neighborhood Roadway Improvements, Miami, FL | Engineer of Record - La Pastorita is a neighborhood within the City of Miami, bound by SW 8th Street to the North, SW 16th Street to the South, SW 34th Avenue and SW 33rd Street to the East, and SW 37th Avenue to the West. Within this neighborhood, the city proposes improvements within the boundaries of SW 11th Street to the North, SW 16th Street to the South, SW 34th Avenue to the East, and SW 37th Avenue to the West, which consists of the southern portion of La Pastorita neighborhood. This complete street project has two phases. In the first phase, the study will present alternative planning concepts. The second phase, the design and construction phase of the project elements of work, includes repaving the roadway, upgrading sidewalks, adding Bicycle Lanes, installing traffic calming devices, upgrading pavement markings, upgrading pedestrian ramps, upgrading street lighting, and drainage improvements.
<br />City of Hialeah, West 31st and 32nd Street and West 11th and 9th Avenue, Miami, FL| Engineer of Record - Responsible for designing and preparing contract documents detailing the full roadway, signing and pavement markings, and drainage reconstruction as part of the City of Hialeah’s Roadway Improvement Program. The newly designed drainage system consists of several self-contained french drain systems that run the length of each street as is the policy in Hialeah. The proposed drainage and roadway improvement will be permitted through Miami-Dade County’s RER Department. The project includes lighting and signing & pavement marking improvements throughout the project limits. Extensive care was taken during design to minimize impacts to existing landscaping, utilities, and all other existing above-ground objects.
<br />FDOT D6, RRR projects, Miami-Dade and Monroe County, FL | Project Engineer - NW 87th Ave. from Flagler St. to NW 12 St.; Indian Creek/ SR A1A; Harding Avenue/ SR A1A; Big Coppitt Key; Spoil Island/ SL-15 mitigation site, environmental impact mitigation project. Engineering duties included: roadway and signing and pavement markings design alternatives, plans production and team management, scheduling, quantities calculations, cost analysis and feasibility, coordination of work with clients, subcontractors, utility agencies and other principals; preparation of specifications and reports; and construction assistance duties.
