Page 40CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH • RFQ #26-07-01 • CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) <br />TAB 2 | QUALIFICATIONS <br />ENGINEERS · PLANNERS · PROGRAM MANAGERS <br />The City of Hialeah has embarked on an ambitious Master Plan for the vision of the next 25 years that aims to enhance the city’s infrastructure and livability and increase the quality of life for city residents. The project assessed existing conditions, identified needs related to infrastructure and regulatory gaps, and addressed development pressures. The Hialeah 2050 Master Plan is an opportunity to develop a roadmap for the next 25 years aligned with this community’s goals and desires. The project team aims to develop Hialeah’s vision of becoming a vibrant, sustainable, and connected community. <br />The city’s transportation network comprises an inter-mix of private vehicles, public transit, and micro-mobility travel options. Maximizing safety for all road users – motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and others – is one of the main goals of any transportation system. The project team conducted a citywide screening of crash records documented in Signal Four Analytics from January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2022. Intersection and road segment crash data analysis can be performed for specific timeframes to evaluate types of crashes (vehicle/bike/pedestrian), time of day, road condition, and other variables. This analysis evaluated high crash locations within the city with predominant characteristics and patterns, identifying fatalities and crashes involving pedestrian and bicyclists. <br />Crashes occurred throughout the city, with the highest concentrations of fatal and injury crashes found along multilane corridors posted at 40 mph. These corridors included West 49th Street, West 68th Street, Palm Avenue, Southeast 8th Avenue, and Hialeah Drive.
