Responsible for setting number of lanes, typical sections, intersections, and interchange layouts for rural and urban roadways. <br /> Analyze and develop alignment alternatives for complex highway improvement projects. <br /> Selection and analysis of various typical section alternates for proposed facilities. <br /> Responsible for reviewing, producing, and evaluating work effort to assure the preliminary engineering and environmental documentation is prepared in accordance to meet AASHTO and NEPA standards. <br /> Generate project costs estimates including engineering cost, construction cost, right of way cost and maintenance cost <br /> Development of design presentations for public meetings, elected officials and citizens by providing the necessary information to assure the public is sufficiently informed on the proposed improvements. <br /> <br />Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), SR 869 (Sawgrass Expressway) PD&E Study, Corridor Widening and Interchange Improvements, Broward County, FL | Project Manager - A PD&E Study and Systems Interchange Modification Report (SIMR) for a section of the Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) from south of US 441 (SR 7) to Powerline Road (SR 845). The objective of this PD&E Study is to evaluate corridor improvements that will add highway and interchange capacity to the corridor. The project will address existing and future traffic needs to improve travel time reliability, enhance safety, and provide long-term mobility options along the corridor. The study also includes a section of Florida’s Turnpike (SR 91) from Wiles Road to the Broward/Palm Beach County Line. The PD&E Study proposes additional lanes, new collector-distributor roadway systems, and improvements to the interchanges at US 441, Lyons Road, Florida’s Turnpike, and the Powerline Road intersection. <br />ENGINEERS PLANNERS PROGRAM MANAGERS
