PROFILE <br />City of Port St. Lucie New Public Works Administration Building, Port Saint Lucie, <br />FL: Survey. KEITH, as subconsultant to BEA Architects, is assisting in the development of a new Public Works Administration Building in the City of Port St. Lucie, FL. KEITH provides civil engineering, survey, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), utility coordination, permitting, and construction administration services. The KEITH Team assists the Client with boundary and topographic surveys to establish an accurate existing conditions base map for design and completed a specific purpose survey that incorporated the SUE investigation to assist with design of a new force main to serve the facility. <br />City of Pompano Beach Fire Station #24, Pompano Beach, FL: Survey. The City of Pompano Beach requested the replacement of the existing Pompano Beach Fire Station No. 24 located at 2001 NE 10th Street, with a new two-story, four-bay fire station. The City was so pleased with the previous work done on Fire Station 11 that the design and development was used for Fire Station No. 103 (with site adjustments) and served as the prototype design for the proposed Fire Station No. 24 design/build. KEITH, as a subconsultant partner to Currie Sowards Aguila Architects and West Construction & Design, provided engineering design and permitting, project coordination, surveying, landscape architecture, and construction services for this project. The existing fire station was to be demolished and prepared for construction of the new station. New utilities and services, along with landscaping, 20 parking spaces, three visitor parking spaces, offices, a training room, and an exercise room on the first floor. The storm-hardened structure was designed to meet Category V storms. The station was designed to achieve a minimum LEED level of Silver Certification and the team met with the FAA consultant to finalize site and building plans to comply with FAA airspace requirements. <br />Fort Lauderdale Police Headquarters, Fort Lauderdale, FL: Survey. KEITH, as subconsultant to Moss Construction, is assisting the Client in developing a KEITH Facility/KEITH Campus project that includes a 20,000-SF Fort Lauderdale Police Headquarters on a 17-acre campus with a 400-vehicle parking garage. KEITH is providing detailed survey/SUE services to the Client with this work authorization. The KEITH Team is assisting the Client with horizontal and vertical controls, demolition mark-ups, building layouts, foundation as-builts, building grid lines and footers, final as-built survey, and site-work survey including drainages and as-built drainage systems, water and sanitary sewer systems, staking for subgrade, blue tops, curbs, walkways, light poles, security fencing/walls, and retaining areas, and finished paving, grading and drainage as-built surveys, and utility mapping for this high-profile, gateway project in downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL. <br />RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />BRYAN MERRITT, PSM <br />Survey <br />Bryan Merritt is Vice President of Geospatial at KEITH. He is responsible for overseeing all geospatial operations, including survey and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) for the company. This role involves strategic planning; project management; ensuring accuracy and quality of data; leading KEITH’S team of surveying, mapping, and utility specialists; managing budgets; and collaboration with other departments/disciplines to support the KEITH company goals.
