HBC Engineering Company | 88 <br />FDOT District 6, Districtwide Resurfacing Scoping Reports <br />As Engineering Technician, Derrek supported the design of various roadway restoration projects, including minor <br />reconstruction, signalization, widening, and intersection improvements under this districtwide resurfacing <br />contract. <br />Location: Miami-Dade County, FL. Reference: Nicholas Danu, PE, nicholas.danu@dot.state.fl.us. <br />Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department (MDC-WASD), MOT Control Plans for a Water Main on <br />NW Ave from NW St to NW St <br />As Engineering Technician, Derrek supported the design of a Temporary Traffic Control Plan (TTCP) for the installation <br />of a water main along NW Avenue, referencing applicable details and indexes and preparing lane closure analysis, <br />summary of quantities, and TTCP phases and plans to route traffic safely through work zones. He coordinated with <br />MDC-WASD, FDOT District 6, and stakeholders to obtain feedback and approval of the proposed TTCP design. <br />Location: Miami, FL. Reference: Arnelio Alfonso, PE, Aalfonso@apcte.com. <br />FDOT District 4, S.R. 7/U.S. 441 Transit Corridor Improvements LAP <br />As Engineering Technician, Derrek supported utility coordination efforts along S.R. 7/U.S. 441 from Hallandale <br />Beach Boulevard to Turtle Creek Parkway, cooperating with Utility and Agency Owners to accurately display <br />utilities along the corridor. <br />Location: Broward County, FL. Reference: Robert Lopes, Robert.Lopes@dot.state.fl.us. <br />FDOT District 4, Homewood Blvd from Old Germantown Rd to Lowson Blvd RRR <br />As Engineering Technician, Derrek supported the design of a Temporary Traffic Control Plan (TTCP) for this RRR <br />project in the City of Delray Beach, including typical sections for vehicular traffic and an ADA-compliant pedestrian <br />detour on a multilane road. He prepared lane closure analysis, summary of quantities, and TTCP phases and plans <br />to route traffic safely through work zones, coordinating with District Construction to obtain feedback and approval. <br />Location: Delray Beach, FL.
