Partnering will establish the basis for sound communication and alignment of key success criteria such as (1)
Constructing the highest quality project at the lowest possible cost; (2) Completing on or ahead of schedule;
and (3) A community involvement program that maximizes local and minority partnerships. In summary,
important components of the partnering process include:
♦ Commitment by senior management of all participant organizations.
♦ Trust, integrity, and honesty in all dealings.
♦ Mutual establishment and understanding of project goals, objectives and partners' risks.
♦ Empowerment of personnel to discuss issues and make decisions appropriate to their staff level.
We Have Unique Capabilities and a Strong Track Record for
Completing Jobs on Schedule
We have a reputation, built on an excellent track record, for meeting or beating our clients' project
schedules. Our team will implement the same scheduling tools used successfully on previous projects to
ensure the project is completed ahead of the deadline. These tools will allow us to manage short -term
and long -term project goals to ensure that all major milestones are met. During the design phase, major
subcontractors and suppliers will participate in project phasing, value engineering and constructability
reviews. Early involvement from our subcontractors and suppliers will allow us to incorporate their expertise
into the design and construction schedules.
These are the primary tools we will use: paragraphs on Critical Path Method Schedule, Linear Schedule,
Preconstruction Planning, Play of the Day Schedule, 90 -Day Look -Ahead Schedule and Five -Week Look -
Ahead Schedule.
The 90 -day Look -Ahead Schedule: Each discipline will create its own 90 -day schedule, based on the CPM
schedule; each schedule will then be coordinated with the schedules from other disciplines.
Each week a Three Week Schedule is completed and compared to the baseline schedule. The progress on
the project will be traced on a daily basis and adjustments will be made as necessary to keep it on track.
We have a history of completing large projects in far fewer days then proposed time allows. On the
Tampa 1 -4 project in District 7, we were able to complete this project over 250 days early to achieve the
maximum bonus.
MKiewitConstruction of the North Bay Road Pedestrian Emergency Bridge I No. 14 -09 -01
