Contract number of referred project: <br /> <br />City of Miami Beach Project No. 1224 <br /> <br />2. Description and location of work: <br /> <br /> This environmentally sensitive project for the City of Miami Beach to demo and rebuild a new 9555 square <br />foot precast concrete and cast -in-place bridge / pier at South Pointe Park in Miami Beach, Florida. The <br />scope of work consisted of removal and disposal of all existing concrete piling and concrete pier deck and <br />installation of new dock consisting of 64 each 24”x75 ft precast and prestressed driven concrete pile, <br />placement of 17 ea. precast and prestressed concrete cap beams, furnish and place 4 ea. cast-in-place <br />concrete pile caps, 1 ea. cast in place end bent and approach slab, installation of 75 ea. precast concrete deck <br />girders with cast-in-place concrete diaphragms and form and place 22 ea. cast in place concrete light <br />bollards with electrical conduit cast into the concrete. Additionally, the project consisted of the installation <br />of 6 ea. precast concrete reef modules and relocation of interfering rip-rap boulders. <br /> <br />3. Company Role: <br /> <br />Sub-Contractor – Bridge / Pier Demolition and Construction <br /> <br />4. FDOT Related Work Classes Performed: <br /> <br />Minor Bridge, Electrical Work <br /> <br />5. Relevancy To Work Classes: <br /> <br />Ebsary Foundation Company was contracted to perform heavy highway and bridge construction utilizing all <br />of equipment, manpower, type of construction and management requirements all directly relate to Minor <br />Bridge Construction. Most specifically, this project included installation of the precast concrete pile to <br />include, precast concrete cap placement, cast in place concrete pile caps, precast girder placement, cast-in- <br />place concrete diaphragms, concrete approach slabs, and miscellaneous demolition and installation work. <br />Additionally, this project was located within the Atlantic Ocean within Government Cut, which is a <br />sensitive marine environment and required navigation warnings, extensive turbidity control measures, <br />marine environmental permitting, and coordination and required numerous levels of inspections, quality <br />control and certification which are similar to FDOT projects <br /> <br />6.
