Ebsary Foundation Company <br />Past Performance Documentation <br /> <br />PROJECT: Wharf I Emergency Bulkhead Repair, Phase II <br />Miami-Dade, Florida <br /> <br />1. Contract number of referred project: Port Miami Project No. 2009-028.02 <br /> <br />2. Description and location of work: <br /> <br /> The project entailed repairs to Wharf 1 Settlement problems on the Cargo Side of the Port of Miami. Ebsary <br />was contracted to demo the existing failed concrete runway slab, install new steel sheet pile bulkhead, <br />replace and compact new fill, form and place a new reinforced concrete runway slab, replace the asphalt <br />pavement and thermoplastic striping and reconnect all utilities that serviced the mooring bulkhead. The <br />scope of work included Demolition of a 25ft x 840ft runway slab, approximately 5000 cy of compacted fill, <br />placement of 900 cy of reinforced concrete runway, 21,000 sf of asphalt concrete placement, new <br />thermoplastic striping and utility work. All work was performed directly adjacent to the Lummis Island <br />Cut, which is the Federal Shipping Channel on the south side of Port of Miami. <br /> <br />3. Company Role: <br /> <br />General Contractor <br /> <br />4. FDOT Related Work Classes Performed: <br /> <br />Minor Bridge, Hot Plant-Mixed Bitum. Courses, Grading, Pavement Marking, Portland Cement Concrete <br />Roadway Paving <br /> <br />5. Relevancy To Work Classes: <br /> <br />Ebsary Foundation Company was contracted to perform heavy highway and bridge construction utilizing all <br />of equipment, manpower, type of construction and management requirements all directly relate to Minor <br />Bridge Construction. Most specifically, this project included demolition, pile driving, cast-in-place concrete <br />roadway, asphalt concrete placement, thermoplastic striping, backfill, grading and compaction, utility work, <br />extensive project management and environmental coordination. Additionally, this project was located <br />directly adjacent to the Federally Managed Government Cut Main Channel which is a sensitive marine <br />environment and required navigation warnings, extensive turbidity control measures, marine environmental <br />permitting, and the Port required numerous levels of inspections, quality control and certification which are <br />similar to FDOT projects <br /> <br />6.
