Contract number of referred project: <br /> <br />High Wind Bollards at Berth 1 <br />High Wind Bollards at Berth 27 & 29 <br />Port Wide High Wind Bollard Installation <br /> <br />2. Description and location of work: <br /> <br /> The project entailed test pitting at 25 separate locations, asphalt removal, excavation, Installation of 66” <br />diameter x 77ft long Drilled Shafts, Cast in Place concrete cap, installation of 150ft single bitt ship bollard <br />and site restoration. All work was performed in an active cargo port terminal and required coordinated with <br />shipping and marine traffic at each location. Ebsary installed the three projects utilizing similar sized drilled <br />shaft rigs for each project and utilized a 100 Ton lattice boom crawler crane and an APE 300 vibratory <br />hammer to install the casting. <br /> <br />3. Relevancy To Work Classes: <br /> <br />Ebsary Foundation Company was contracted to perform heavy highway and bridge construction utilizing all <br />of equipment, manpower, type of construction and management requirements all directly relate to Minor <br />Bridge Construction. Most specifically, this project included demolition, drilled shafts, cast-in-place <br />concrete roadway, asphalt concrete placement, , backfill, grading and compaction, utility work, extensive <br />project management and environmental coordination. Additionally, this project was located directly <br />adjacent to the Federally Managed Shipping Channel which is a sensitive marine environment and required <br />navigation warnings, extensive turbidity control measures, marine environmental permitting, and the Port <br />required numerous levels of inspections, quality control and certification which are similar to FDOT <br />projects <br /> <br />6.
