<br />2. Description and location of work:
<br />
<br />The Work of this Contract comprises furnishing of all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools and
<br />equipment required or incidental necessary to build the Area 2 (Bay 177-183) Construction of Seawall
<br />facilities located in Port Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, for Port Miami, the Owner (MDC). This
<br />project consists of maintenance of traffic and environmental protection including construction of temporary
<br />fencing and gates to define work area; Demolition, removal, relocation, and disposition of limestone riprap,
<br />live coral colonies, mono-pile breasting dolphins, and miscellaneous site features; Construction of
<br />approximately 625 linear feet of new steel sheet pile bulkhead, anchor wall, and tie-back system;
<br />Construction of new reinforced concrete bulkhead cap, with double-bitt deck fittings and foam-filled fender
<br />systems; Dredging, excavating, stockpiling, handling, and disposing of dredge material off Port Miami
<br />property; Earthwork, including providing imported fill and backfill material, placing, and consolidating
<br />suitable imported material with vibro-replacement below EL. +3.00 ft, NGVD29 and conventionally
<br />compact imported backfill above EL +3.00 ft, NGVD29; Extending the potable water and fire protection
<br />distribution system, providing fire hydrants, and potable water stations, with concrete enclosures; Paved
<br />apron area, including heavy-duty asphaltic concrete pavement and base, storm water drainage and collection
<br />system, well, permanent fencing and gates, pavement markings and signage and Construction of new
<br />concrete retaining wall. All work was performed directly adjacent to the Lummis Island Cut, which is the
<br />Federal Shipping Channel on the south side of Port Miami.

<br />Ebsary Foundation Company was contracted to perform heavy highway and bridge construction utilizing all
<br />of equipment, manpower, type of construction and management requirements all directly relate to Minor
<br />Bride and the associated work classes listed above. Most specifically, this project included demolition, pile
<br />driving, cast-in-place concrete pile caps, asphalt concrete placement, thermoplastic striping, backfill,
<br />grading and compaction, utility work, underwater work, industrial plumbing, permanent security fencing
<br />and extensive project management and environmental coordination. Additionally, this project was located
<br />directly adjacent to the Federally Managed Government Cut Main Channel which is a sensitive marine
<br />environment and required navigation warnings, extensive turbidity control measures, marine environmental
<br />permitting, and the Port required numerous levels of inspections, quality control and certification which are
<br />similar to FDOT projects
