Ebsary Foundation Company <br />Past Performance Documentation <br /> <br />PROJECT: FPL Pipe Bridge & South Bank Stabilization Project <br />Broward County, Florida <br /> <br />1. Contract number of referred project: <br /> <br />Florida Power & Light Purchase Order #: 2000143322 <br /> <br />2. Description and location of work: <br /> <br />This project consists of the demolition and replacement of a 180ft long Jet Fuel Pipe Bridge at the FPL <br />Power Station in Davie, Florida over the Dania Cutoff Canal. The replacement bridge was designed as a <br />single span 180ft long prefabricated steel truss to be erected in four sections. The substructure and <br />foundation consisted of 24” augercast pile supported cast in place concrete footers with approximately 20ft <br />tall cast in place concrete piers to elevate the bridge above marine traffic. After bridge construction the Jet <br />fuel pipe was supported by steel overhang brackets; once the pipes were supported the existing steel and <br />concrete bridge was demolished and removed from the site, to include, complete removal of existing <br />underwater piers. The additional work on this project included south bank seawall reconstruction, site <br />grading and restoration.. <br /> <br />3. Company Role: <br /> <br />General Contractor <br /> <br />4. FDOT Related Work Classes Performed: <br /> <br />Minor Bridge, Intermediate Bridge, Grading, Electrical Work <br /> <br />5. Relevancy To Work Classes: <br /> <br />Ebsary Foundation Company was contracted to perform heavy highway and bridge construction utilizing all <br />of equipment, manpower, type of construction and management requirements all directly relate to <br />Intermediate Bridge Construction. Most specifically this project incorporated start to finish Intermediate <br />Bridge Construction and demolition, with center to center concrete pier spacing of 180ft on center; <br />additionally it included, augercast foundation piling, cast in place concrete footers and piers, bridge truss <br />erection, bridge painting, stair erection, site work, concealed downlead grounding installation, steel sheet <br />piling bulkhead, cast in place concrete sheet pile cap, underwater demolition, lead abatement and critical lift <br />plans. Additionally, this project was located directly within the Dania Cutoff Canal, which is a Navigable <br />Waterway, and the active FPL Power Plant; which required extensive environmental protection, navigation <br />warnings, extensive turbidity control measures, marine environmental permitting, coordination with state <br />and federal environmental agencies, security checks and required numerous levels of inspections, quality <br />control and certification which are similar to FDOT projects <br /> <br />6. Specialty Work Classes Performed: <br /> <br />Driven Steel Sheet Pile, Augercast Piling, Marine Construction
