<br /> The de Maya Group,Inc.,Miami,FL,2008-2014:Roadway Superintendent/Project Manager
<br /> I have over 30 years of experience in the construction of major infrastructure projects. My experience
<br /> includes, but is not limited to, extensive knowledge of FDOT and local municipality requirements having
<br /> served as Roadway Superintendent in charge of major projects throughout South Florida. I am
<br /> knowledgeable in all aspects of materials testing and certification requirements for earthwork, base and
<br /> asphalt pavement operations, as well as being well versed in the development and implementation of
<br /> complex Maintenance of Traffic patterns on limited access facilities.
<br /> I began my construction career as a laborer for a drainage crew in 1980 with Williams Paving, Inc. directly
<br /> after high school and worked my way up at that company to become a key supervisor,managing all drainage
<br /> crews and operations. Past experience also includes serving as Drainage/Utility Superintendent, Lead
<br /> Estimator, General Superintendent, Project Manager, Asphalt Operations Manager, and Roadway
<br /> Superintendent. I believe my diverse background makes me ideally suited to lead complex projects.
<br /> RELEVANT PROJECTS
<br /> • S134.4 SR 44/East of 1-95 Design Build Project. Project Superintendent for the Interstate 4 widening
<br /> from SR44/to East of 1-95. Project includes improvements to this 14 mile section of 1-4, primarily
<br /> consisting of outside widening to provide a 6-lane typical section.All lanes will slope towards the outside
<br /> with a 68 foot median envelope provided for a future High Speed Rail Corridor.The project also includes
<br /> three new wildlife crossings,replacement of the 1-4 bridges over the Tomoka River, reconstruction of the
<br /> US 92/1-4 Ramp"A"flyover and reconstruction of the westbound US 92 to westbound 1-4 flyover ramp.
<br /> • $559 SR 826/ SR 836 Design Build Project. The SR 826/SR 836 interchange is the second largest
<br /> highway project in Florida. It is a four level interchange in the heart of Miami-Dade County adjacent to the
<br /> Miami International Airport and includes reconstruction of approximately 2 miles of SR 826 and 3 miles
<br /> of SR 836 to provide 5 lanes in each direction. The project also includes the introduction of EBCD and
<br /> WBCD roads along SR 836,as well as the construction of 47 new bridges and 4 segmental bridges.
<br /> • S177 SR 826/SR 874 (Section 2) Design-Build Project. Roadway Superintendent for the SR 826/ SR
<br /> 874 project which is considered Section 2 of FDOT's 12-part Palmetto Expressway (SR 826)
<br /> Improvement Program. Project includes the widening and reconstruction of SR 826,the reconstruction
<br /> • of SR 874, provision of new CD roads,two service interchanges (SW 56th Street& SW 40th Street), one
<br /> system to system Interchange (SR 826 / SR 874) and eight bridge structures including four Category 2
<br /> major bridges. The de Moya Group is a jV Partner on the project and is directly responsible for $107
<br /> Million of the contract work. The project was completed 167 days early with a final contractor
<br /> performance rating (CPPR) of 106. This project also earned the 2012 FTBA, Best in Construction Award
<br /> (Design-Build).
