Located at the core of the <br />City’s financial district, Brickell City Centre is a nine-acre mixed-use development— <br />and one of the largest active projects in the City of Miami today. The site comprises <br />approximately three city blocks. At completion, this $1.05 billion project will include 2.9 <br />million square feet of retail, office, residential, and entertainment space. The parking <br />demand for this proposed development will be satisfied by the construction of a two- <br />level subterranean parking garage, which will extend beneath the right of way for full <br />connectivity between the three blocks. This LEED Neighborhood Certified project will <br />also include sustainable elements such as a climate ribbon, green roofs, and cisterns <br />for irrigation use. As the engineer of record, Kimley-Horn is providing an array of civil <br />engineering, transportation planning, and traffic engineering services. The scope of <br />work includes design, permitting, and construction administration for the installation <br />of more than of 7,000 linear feet of new water and sewer utilities within an extremely <br />congested utility corridor; full roadway reconstruction including drainage improvements; <br />traffic signalization; and on-site stormwater management. <br />Miami World Center, Miami, FL — Serving as project manager. Kimley-Horn <br />is partnering with a private developer, the City of Miami, the Miami Community <br />Redevelopment Agency (CRA), and other stakeholders in preparing typical sections <br />for streetscapes for the City’s largest proposed downtown project. Kimley-Horn is <br />also partnering with numerous utility companies to determine existing underground <br />conditions. Once this information was obtained, we worked with multiple stakeholders <br />to develop and evaluate various streetscape options for roads and avenues within the <br />multi-block project limits. The project is ongoing. <br />Resorts World Miami (former Miami Herald site), Miami, FL — Project manager <br />for the Kimley-Horn team that is providing site/civil engineering, environmental, and <br />ongoing traffic engineering services for the 14-acre bayfront site that previously housed <br />the Miami Herald newspaper at 1 Herald Plaza in Miami. The proposed project includes <br />four new hotels with more than 5,000 rooms and two residential towers featuring up to <br />1,000 units; a luxury retail galleria; a 3.6-acre rooftop lagoon and natural sand beach; <br />more than 50 restaurants, lounges, bars, and nightclubs; a high-tech multimedia <br />entertainment area showcasing the music and culture of Florida and South America; <br />and 700,000 square feet of convention and meeting space. The resort will help develop <br />the three-mile BayWalk, which highlights a 150-acre leisure and entertainment area in <br />downtown Miami. Team tasks include due diligence, parking studies, underground <br />utility design, preparation of a Special Area Plan (SAP) traffic study consistent with City <br />of Miami 21 Zoning Code, environmental site assessment and potential remediation <br />planning, including contaminant delineation, water quality evaluation, and quarterly <br />groundwater monitoring. <br />Midtown Miami, 56-acre Urban Mixed-Use Development, City of Miami, FL <br />Project manager for civil construction documents, including roadway, utilities, signals, <br />soils management, and streetscape; also coordinated entitlements and served as the <br />Midtown Miami Community Development District Engineer. Responsibilities include the <br />review and coordination of a bond budget in excess of $100 million while simultaneously <br />serving four clients on this major redevelopment project. Midtown Miami is the largest <br />urban infill redevelopment project in Miami-Dade County and is located on a 56-acre <br />Brownfield site previously owned by the FEC Railroad. The project involved planning, <br />design, and construction of all public and private infrastructure to serve 3,500 residential <br />units, 800,000 square feet of commercial, and 15,000 square feet of office space.
