The remaining <br /> agenda was heard in order.] <br /> 7. ORDINANCES FOR FIRST READING <br /> 7A. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br /> Ordinance No. 2014-436; Amending the City's Budget No. BA1415-04 for the 2014-2015 <br /> Fiscal Year — Streets Maintenance Fund and Capital Projects Fund; Authorizing the <br /> City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Implement the Terms and Conditions of this <br /> Ordinance: Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: [City Clerk's Note: Heard after Item 10D.] City Clerk Hines read the title, and <br /> City Manager Russo reported that this is to fund the acquisition of 18080 Collins Avenue <br /> (Alamo property) in the Capital Projects Fund, and including funding for the required <br /> Transportation Master Plan in the Streets Maintenance Fund. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br /> proposed Ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of5- <br /> 0 in favor. Second reading, public hearing will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at <br /> 6:30 p.m. <br /> Vote: Commissioner Aelion yes <br /> Commissioner Goldman yes <br /> Commissioner Levin yes <br /> Vice Mayor Gatto yes <br /> Mayor Scholl yes <br /> 7B. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,Amending <br /> Chapter 233 ("Special Events")of the Code of Ordinances to Clarify that a Condominium <br /> May Hold Special Events for Guests and Invitees Up to Four (4) Times Per Year; <br /> Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for Repeal of <br /> Conflicting Provisions; and Providing_ for an Effective Date. <br /> Action:City Clerk Hines read the title,and City Attorney Ottinot reported this provides more <br /> flexibility, and noted that this Ordinance was at the request of Mayor Scholl. He said <br /> generally condos are prohibited to have any kind of event but with this amendment they can <br /> have up to four (4) events per year provided that they work with the City to ensure public <br /> safety. Mayor Scholl said this is actually making it a little more liberal. <br />
