Russo,City Manager <br /> DATE: 5/21/2015 <br /> RE: Resolution Approving a Rooftop License Agreement <br /> with the City of North Miami Beach <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached <br /> resolution. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The City of North Miami Beach (CNMB) is the potable water provider for <br /> the City of Sunny Isles Beach.'CNMB is implementing a capital project that <br /> includes installing Automated Meter Reading devices (AMRs) in all water <br /> meters in their service territory. This agreement allows CNMB to install one <br /> small antenna and associated repeater device at the rooftops at City Hall and <br /> the Heritage Park parking garage. <br /> The installation of these AMRs will allow for the wireless transmission of <br /> data from the water meters. Currently, it can take days or weeks to identify <br /> water leaks, forcing customers(our residents,tenants and business owners)to <br /> pay higher water bills.
