Much of the claim
revolves around unresolved issues related to Change Orders and not engineering matters. This case is
currently being addressed by the Firm's attorney.
SAPPHIRE CONDOMINIUM
In April 2012, our office received a letter from the Sapphire Fort Lauderdale Condominium Association,
Inc. informing us of their claim against the Firm for construction defects. As indicated in the notice, the
claim revolves around construction defects and not engineering matters. This case is currently be
addressed by the Firm's attorney.
CARIBBEAN CONDOMINIUM
On June 30, 2011, our office received a letter from the Caribbean Condominium Association informing us
of their claim against the Firm for construction defects. As indicated in the notice, much of the claim
revolves around construction defects and not engineering matters. This case was settled and voluntarily
dismissed. JALRW did not contribute to the settlement because our design was per Code and we were
not responsible for the damages alleged.
SOUTH POINTE PARK
In December 2010, our office was served with a copy of a complaint generated by the City of Miami
Beach against the entire design team for this project. The project consisted of renovation of South Pointe
Park at the southernmost tip of Miami Beach. The contents of the complaint directed to our Firm are
minor and without any basis. The majority of the items contained in the complaint are against other
members of the team.
We have not defaulted on any protect.
2510 Northwest 97`h Avenue, Suite 220 — Doral, Florida 33172
Phone (305) 594 -0660 - Fax (305) 594 -0907
www.jalrw.com
