AOO I <br />architecture engineering FIRM PROFILE <br />ACAI strongly supports the philosophy behind the buildingSMARTalliance <br />(bSa). The bSa serves as a resource and forum where individuals who <br />share an interest in the built environment, can explore ideas of <br />integration and innovation through technological advancements as it <br />relates to architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, facility <br />managers, maintenance managers, building owners and educators. <br />Members of the ACAI office and its Virtual Design & Construction Team <br />work to integrate best practices associated with BIM platforms. We believe that designing with the environment in <br />mind enhances our design opportunities and adds value to the project. <br />MASTER PLANNING: URBAN, CAMPUS, SITE AND CPTED <br />PLANNING <br />Multi -use facilities, large campuses, industrial and commercial complexes <br />look to provide their users with strategically planned sites and facilities <br />that not only meet their current requirements, but also allow for future <br />expansions and renovation. Crime Prevention Through Environmental <br />Design ( CPTED) is an integral part of all our design work. <br />RENOVATIONS <br />Renovation projects have long been a core business for ACAI, and our <br />repeat clients give testament to our ability in this area of work. Much of <br />our renovation work has come from our work in education and healthcare <br />building types throughout the State and Federal government. <br />MANAGEMENT, INTERIORS AND TENANT IMPROVEMENTS <br />We have considerable experience managing "build to suit' and "infill" <br />projects, many of which have involved scheduling activities while the <br />facility remains in use. When our services include interior design, we <br />offer a complete package with schedules for color, finish selection and <br />furniture specifications. <br />ADA REVIEW AND RETROFIT DESIGN <br />Since the implementation of Federal ADA requirements, countless <br />clients have needed to review their facilities for compliance. Our reviews <br />involve thorough measurement and review of existing conditions; <br />reports and recommendations; design alternatives; construction <br />documentation; and specifications for bidding.
