RESUME Jorge L. Fleitas PE, RCDD Senior Electrical Engineer Mr. Fleitas has extensive experience in the Design of Electrical Systems for applications such as Commercial Facilities, Airports, Office Buildings, Hotel /Resorts, Shopping, Schools, Government, Health Care Facilities and Multi - Family Residential. His experience also includes Roadway Lighting, Fire Alarm and Telecommunication Systems Designs; Generator Backup Power Designs, Contract Administration, Project Management, and Field Inspection. Jorge has also over 10 years experience in the maintenance and operation of electrical overhead and underground distribution systems in power plants up to 34KV in size. SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE Broward College Simulation Lab Davie, Florida JALRW has been selected by Broward College to design a building which will in- clude seven state -of -the -art simulation labs each of which are equipped with hu- man patient simulators and bedside computers; specialized hospital equipment specific to the function of each lab; internet access; digitalized video; recording cameras and TV monitors. The labs are designed to replicate realistic practice settings and will have an EMS ambulance bay, and Emergency Department, Criti- cal Care units, Medical- Surgical unit, Trauma /Operating /Dental Room, a Labor and Delivery /Neonatal Intensive Care /Pediatric unit; and open lab space to conduct large clinical drills, as well as debriefing rooms, storage space, and video recording control rooms. Each patient care unit will accommodate 6 students and an instructor, and have an adjoining control room and storage. JALRW was approved for the Programming of the project, which consisted of preparing the educational program to serve as the basis of design for the educational facilities and site improvements. The program included every space, its intended use, ca- pacity, additional requirements, such as equipment, furniture, and special needs of Broward College. This scope required meetings with the Owner to gather and review information for the program. South Regional / Broward College Library Pembroke Pines, Florida Our office provided HVAC and Electrical Engineering Design Services for this new 70,000 square foot regional library project on Broward College's south campus. The library is provided with daylight controls and energy efficient dimmable lighting, CO2 sensors, demand control ventilation, dedicated outside air units with pre- treated out side air and heat pipe energy recovery. It is the first LEED certified project for Broward County and has achieved a Silver rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
