RESUME <br />Jorge L. Fleitas PE, RCDD <br />Senior Electrical Engineer <br />Mr. Fleitas has extensive experience in the Design of Electrical Systems for <br />applications such as Commercial Facilities, Airports, Office Buildings, <br />Hotel /Resorts, Shopping, Schools, Government, Health Care Facilities and Multi - <br />Family Residential. His experience also includes Roadway Lighting, Fire Alarm and <br />Telecommunication Systems Designs; Generator Backup Power Designs, Contract <br />Administration, Project Management, and Field Inspection. Jorge has also over <br />10 years experience in the maintenance and operation of electrical overhead and <br />underground distribution systems in power plants up to 34KV in size. <br />SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />Broward College Simulation Lab <br />Davie, Florida <br />JALRW has been selected by Broward College to design a building which will in- <br />clude seven state -of -the -art simulation labs each of which are equipped with hu- <br />man patient simulators and bedside computers; specialized hospital equipment <br />specific to the function of each lab; internet access; digitalized video; recording <br />cameras and TV monitors. The labs are designed to replicate realistic practice <br />settings and will have an EMS ambulance bay, and Emergency Department, Criti- <br />cal Care units, Medical- Surgical unit, Trauma /Operating /Dental Room, a Labor <br />and Delivery /Neonatal Intensive Care /Pediatric unit; and open lab space to <br />conduct large clinical drills, as well as debriefing rooms, storage space, and video <br />recording control rooms. Each patient care unit will accommodate 6 students <br />and an instructor, and have an adjoining control room and storage. JALRW was <br />approved for the Programming of the project, which consisted of preparing the <br />educational program to serve as the basis of design for the educational facilities <br />and site improvements. The program included every space, its intended use, ca- <br />pacity, additional requirements, such as equipment, furniture, and special needs <br />of Broward College. This scope required meetings with the Owner to gather and <br />review information for the program. <br />South Regional / Broward College Library <br />Pembroke Pines, Florida <br />Our office provided HVAC and Electrical Engineering Design Services for this new <br />70,000 square foot regional library project on Broward College's south campus. <br />The library is provided with daylight controls and energy efficient dimmable <br />lighting, CO2 sensors, demand control ventilation, dedicated outside air units <br />with pre- treated out side air and heat pipe energy recovery. It is the first LEED <br />certified project for Broward County and has achieved a Silver rating from the <br />U.S. Green Building Council.
