The goal of the Plan is to create a comprehensive, concep- tual system illustrating and defining the development and improvement of new and existing sidewalks, bike lanes, paths, greenways, and amenities that when implemented will increase and enhance multi -modal transpor- tation, environmental conservation, recreation, physical fitness opportuni- ties, tourism, education, economic development, a sense of community and well -being throughout the City of Sunrise. The Plan will be used by the City of Sunrise to provide overall guidance for system development and will be used by planning and implementation agencies to identify and prioritize specific projects for future protection, preservation, funding and implementation.
