<br />Fixed Term Contract, Naples, FL.
<br />The fixed term contract included the
<br />renovation of the existing courthouse
<br />and improvements to the existing jail
<br />facility. The courthouse projects called
<br />for the design the design of 33,100
<br />SF of renovations on four floors. As
<br />part of the renovation process the
<br />sixth floor was design to meet LEED CI
<br />certification standards and will feature
<br />energy efficient lighting, mechanical
<br />systems, and sustainable finishes. The
<br />jail improvements consisted of two
<br />major components, exterior stucco /
<br />window replacement and under-slab
<br />plumbing replacement.
<br />Duval County Courthouse Renovations,
<br />Jacksonville, FL. AECOM was selected
<br />by the City of Jacksonville and Duval
<br />County to provide both A/E design and
<br />Program Management services for the
<br />Duval County Courts system, include
<br />the renovation and conversion of the
<br />historic 1930’s Federal Courthouse for
<br />use by the State Attorney’s office. The
<br />6-story, 172,000 SF building will be
<br />completely gutted and provided with all
<br />new interior finishes and engineering
<br />systems. AECOM will design all new
<br />interior finishes, mechanical, electrical,
<br />plumbing, fire protection, life safety and
<br />security systems.
<br />Taos County Government Center, Taos,
<br />NM. The Taos County Government
<br />Center is located on a 10.6 acre property
<br />in a developing area of Taos, New
<br />Mexico. Consisting of three linked two
<br />story buildings organized around a
<br />central courtyard, the complex includes
<br />110,000 square feet housing the
<br />administrative, courts, and detention
<br />components of the County government.
<br />The courthouse building accommodates
<br />five courtrooms for the District and
<br />Magistrate Court, judicial chambers, the
<br />Clerk of Court, and court support spaces
<br />including district court administration
<br />and clerk, the district attorney, and
<br />other related users.
<br />City of Miami College of Policing, Miami-
<br />Dade School of Law Studies, Homeland
<br />Security, and Forensic Sciences,
<br />Miami, FL. The College of Policing is a
<br />unique partnership between the City
<br />of Miami Police Department and the
<br />Miami-Dade County School Board. The
<br />112,968 SF facilities will house state of
<br />the art training facilities for the police
<br />department as well as a 450 student
<br />magnet high school focused on law
<br />studies and forensic science. The police
<br />components will include a 14 lane
<br />indoor firing range; defensive tactics, in-
<br />service, and recruit classrooms, a gym,
<br />EOC, and a 200 seat auditorium.
<br />Collier County Courthouse 5th &
<br />6th Floor Renovations, Naples, FL.
<br />This 13,700 square foot Courthouse
<br />renovation includes the design of three
<br />new courtrooms, judicial chamber
<br />suites, and offices for the Probation
<br />department. The project involves
<br />phased renovations of two floors of the
<br />existing courthouse and is designed
<br />to allow for uninterrupted use of the
<br />current courthouse.
<br />Flagler County Courthouse, Bunnell, FL.
<br />A new courthouse which will contain
<br />approximately 137,805 SF of space in
<br />a multi-story structure including six
<br />courtrooms, judicial chambers, Clerk of
<br />Court support space, and offices for the
<br />State Attorney and Public Defender. The
<br />complex will also include parking for
<br />375 cars
