Russo,City Manager <br /> FROM: Bill Evans, Director of Public Works/CIP <br /> DATE: 6/18/2015 <br /> Resolution Approving a Second Amendment with RJ <br /> RE: Behar & Company, Inc. for Additional Professional <br /> Services for Improvements to Samson Ocean Park <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached <br /> resolution. <br /> REASONS: <br /> In April 2014,City Commission approved Resolution 2014-2229 awarding a <br /> contract to RJ Behar & Company, Inc for profession services for <br /> improvements to Samson Oceanfront Park in an amount not to exceed <br /> $103,113.50 <br /> • <br /> In September 2014, City Commission approved Resolution 2014-2293 <br /> approving additional engineering and architectural design services for stage <br /> and playground canopies at Samson Oceanfront Park, including additional <br /> mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, and landscape architectural <br /> services in an additional amount not to exceed$38,364.00 bringing the total <br /> amount not to exceed$141,477.50 <br /> This second contract amendment provides additional engineering and . <br /> architectural design services beyond the original scope identified during the <br /> project bid package preparation. These additional services includes contract <br /> management associated with the addition scope,a task of structural drawings <br /> and calculations for a new foundation for the existing bus stop to be _ <br /> relocated. A structural drawings and calculations for new entry masonry <br /> walls, columns and foundation at the existing restrooms to be remodeled. A <br /> change of base as results of requested expansion of path by the existing <br /> pavilion. This change affected all plan drawings.
