City of Sunny Isles Beach |ITB No. 15‐06‐01 10   <br />  <br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF BID: <br /> <br />Purpose of Bid: the City of Sunny Isles Beach intends to secure a source(s) for Electrician Services <br />Citywide. The City reserves the right to award the Bid considered to represent the best value to <br />and best serve the city's interests of the City pursuant to the criteria set forth in this Invitation to <br />Bid and the factors set forth in Section 62-8 of the City Code. No guarantees or minimum quantities <br />are implied. <br /> <br />2.2 PRE-BID CONFERENCE (MANDATORY): <br /> <br />A Pre-Bid Conference for all potential Bidders is set for 06/25/2015 at 1:00 PM in the First Floor <br />Conference Room at the City of Sunny Isles Beach Government Center located at 18070 Collins <br />Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who did <br />not attend the Pre-Bid Conference. No pleas of ignorance by the Bidder of conditions that <br />exist, or that may hereinafter exist as a result of failure to make the necessary examinations or <br />investigations or failure to fulfill in every detail the requirements of the contract documents, will be <br />accepted as basis for varying the requirements of the City of Sunny Isles Beach or the compensation <br />of the Bidder. <br /> <br />2.3 TERM <br /> <br />This initial contract shall commence on the first calendar day of the month succeeding approval of <br />the contract by the City Commission, and contingent upon the completion and submittal of <br />all required bid documents. The initial contract shall remain in effect for two (2) years with an <br />option of two mutually agreeable written renewals of one year each (see Section 2.4 below <br />“OPTIONS TO RENEW”). <br /> <br />2.4 OPTIONS TO RENEW <br /> <br />The initial contract prices resultant from this solicitation shall prevail for a two (2) year <br />period from the contract’s initial effective date. Prior to, or upon completion, of that initial term, <br />the City shall have the option to renew this contract for an additional two (2) year(s) period on a <br />year-to-year basis. Prior to completion of each exercised contract term, the City may consider an <br />adjustment to price based on changes in the following pricing index: Consumer Price Index (CPI), <br />All Urban Consumers, All Items, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. <br /> <br />It is the vendor’s responsibility to request any pricing adjustment under this provision. For any <br />adjustment to commence on the first day of any exercised option period, the vendor’s <br />request for adjustment should be submitted 90 days prior to expiration of the then <br />current contract term. The vendor adjustment request should not be in excess of the relevant <br />pricing index change. If no adjustment request is received from the vendor, the City will assume <br />that the vendor has agreed that the optional term may be exercised without pricing
