67 <br /> 1 Florida Power & Light have some serious <br /> 2 restrictions about what can be planted under <br /> 3 those power lines , for obviously reasons , and he <br /> 4 is correct . <br /> 5 The only reason we are able to do what we <br /> 6 did in Bal Harbor is because all the utility are <br /> 7 under ground , not only is it an issue of removing <br /> 8 the clutter , the visual clutter , but it allows us <br /> 9 to do something much more beautiful . Because I <br /> 10 don ' t have to concern myself with something that <br /> 11 is going to be growing into the power lines and <br /> 12 create a hazard . <br /> ® 13 MAYOR SAMSON : Ladies and gentlemen , after <br /> 14 this - - after I say this , the city attorney will <br /> 15 probably kill me but I ' m going to say something . <br /> 16 I hope I live long enough to achieve all these <br /> 17 things that you hear about , buried power lines <br /> 18 and we are attempting - - when I say " we , " this <br /> 19 wonderful Commission , that if any variances are <br /> 20 going to be made on the west side of the street , <br /> 21 they will be moved back so far that we will widen <br /> 22 the street some day . Then we will have the same <br /> 23 thing as in Bal Harbor .
