ACTION: City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the applicant's name,hearing number,and location, <br /> and *administered the oath to the witnesses for all of the evening's Zoning hearings. City <br /> Attorney Dannheisser read a disclaimer for all** of the evening's Zoning hearings. <br /> Public Speakers: Stanley Price, Esq.; Kobi Karp, MA; Building Official Michael Berkman; <br /> Zoning and Code Administrator Jorge Vera;Cecile Sippin;Mary Ann Eicke;Mercedes Cantrell <br /> Mr. Karp showed a scale model, and an artist rendering of the proposed 40 story building. He <br /> addressed the issue of shadow, and noted that the existing hotel is being remodeled. <br /> Mr. Berkman noted the land is zoned for Business Office and that the site plan is consistent, <br /> therefore he recommended site plan approval. City Attorney Dannheisser said a traffic study <br /> was submitted. Ms.Cantrell expressed concerns that the project would increase traffic problems <br /> for residents of Sands Pointe. <br /> Vice Mayor Turetsky moved and Commissioner Morrow seconded a motion to approve the <br /> request with staff conditions and recommendations.
