The Museum Park Baywalk and Promenade, located in
Miami, FL consisted of two phases.
Phase II: Baywalk
Phase II installed 2,850 linear fit of paver walkway
along the waterfront in downtown Miami. Serving as a
pedestrian promenade, it is constructed so that it can
also be used as egress for emergency vehicles to the
bulkhead. The project included site/civil work, balancing
of more than 40,000 cubic yards of material within the
21-acre site. 3 85 cubic yards of contaminated soils
were remediated, encapsulated beneath the walkway
in keeping with Department of Environmental Quality
provisions. Landscaping, irrigation and lighting work were
also included in the scope of this project.
Phase III: Promenade
This phase consisted of the construction of a pedestrian
walkway along the northern boundary of the park, adjacent
to the proposed Science and Art Museums, which can
be used for special events, emergency access for fire
trucks and other emergency vehicles. The work included
associated site/civil (excavation and fill of material within
the site), landscaping, irrigation and lighting. In addition,
an asphalt parking lot for approximately 40 cars was
constructed along with a restroom facility. Concrete
stairs, retaining walls and ADA access ramps were also
constructed.
NAME AND LOCATION OF PROJECTCity of Miami Miami, FL 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 8th Floor Miami, FL 33130
FIRM’S RESPONSIBILITY ON THE PROJECTCM @ RIsk
PROJECTS OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVEJeovanny RodriguezCity of Miami444 SW 2nd Ave. Miami, FL 33130p 305-416-1280jeovannyrodriguez@miamigov.com
PROJECT ARCHITECTChen-Moore and Associates 500 West Cypress Creek Road, Suite 630 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 Phone: 954-730-0707
PROJECT DURATION START/FINISHNovember 2012/August 2013
SIZE OF PROJECT2,850 linear fit of paver walkway
COST OF PROJECT$9,145.015.93
KEY PREOFSSIONALS INVOLVED Riley Barron, Director of Operations
F.
