Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting July 16,2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> not going to model the buildings around it. Commissioner Levin said she knows she was <br /> unhappy with the Model we had last time. Ms. Hasbun asked if the Commission would <br /> consider then instead of having just a detailed 3-D Model of the site, to have just a massing <br /> of a buffer area within the site, so the one just to show the site but within a certain buffer to <br /> show just the massing. Mayor Scholl said to maybe just do this, we get a nice model of the <br /> building but then they have to show some massing of the buildings that are within so many <br /> feet of it. That can be a block, but the bottom line is at least we see the proportionate to the <br /> other buildings, and that is what he always cares about. <br /> Commissioner Aelion said we are in a world today as to technology, and we have to allow <br /> technology to play a part, and a 3-D Model can be visualized digitally. <br /> City Attorney Ottinot said what we can do today is to withdraw the 3-D Model provision <br /> and leave in the staging plan. Mayor Scholl said then to just leave in the Staging Plan and <br /> we will figure the 3-D Model out. <br /> Vice Mayor Gatto moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the <br /> proposed Ordinance on first reading, as amended by removing the 3-D Model. The <br /> motion was approved by a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor. A Resolution of the Local Planning Agency of the City of Sunny Isllel Beach, Florida, <br /> Recommending to the City Commission of Sunny Isles Beach, the Ordinance Amending <br /> Section 265-5 of the City Code to Clarify the Meaning of Height; Providing for an Effective <br /> Date. <br /> Action: [City Clerk's Note: Items 9A and 9A.1 were heard together.Jt City Clerk Hines <br /> read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot reported. <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution.
