Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting July 16.2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida Public Speakers: None Mayor Scholl said we had an agreement to sell the Rabbi the piece of land adjacent to his current parcel which is under the bridge by Bella Vista Park and now that agreement expired and so we are returning the Rabbi's deposit and cancelling that agreement. We continue to own the land along the Intracoastal and Bella Vista Park. Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2015-2446 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 10H. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isle's Beach, Florida, Authorizing the Chief of Police, in Accordance with the Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984,and in Accordance with Section 932.7055, F.S.,to Expend Partial Forfeiture Funds from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to a Laptop Computer, Office Furniture, Media Cabinet with Accessories and Three (3) Traffic Lasers, in an Amount Not to Exceed $42,000.00; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Police Captain Michael Grandinetti reported. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles, Beach, Florida, Authorizing the Chief of Police, in Accordance with Section 932.7055, F.S. to Expend S15,000.00 from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (L.E.T.F.) Forfeiture Fund, for Various Charitable Contributions and for Legal Costs Associated with the Asset Forfeiture Process; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Police Captain Michael Grandinetti reported. Public Speakers: None Commissioner Goldman moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2015-2448 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 10J. Add-On: A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Expressing Support for the Creation of the South Florida Mayors', Beach Alliance; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: [City Clerk's Note: Documentation was distributed prior to the meeting. See Item 4A for additional action.] City Clerk Hines read the title and Mayor Scholl reported noting that the Alliance includes the municipalities of Sunny Isles Beach, Miami Beach, Golden Beach, Surfside, Bal Harbour, and Key Biscayne. We got together and are trying to bring a heighten sense of awareness to our beach renourishment. He also received a 23
