ACTION: (City Clerk's Note: The following documents were submitted into the record: <br /> Summary Minutes of the February 16, 1999, Citizen Planning Advisory Committee <br /> meeting; single page summary sheet dated February 16, 1999, from Tim Lunney; single <br /> page proposed amendment to page 31, Section 33-222 (4)(b) from Tim Lunney; single <br /> page proposed amendment to hotel amenities exclusion from FAR calculations, from Peter <br /> Weiner) <br /> City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title and the public hearing was opened. Tim Lunney <br /> • of Walter Keller, Inc:, summarized changes to the proposed ordinance since the City <br /> Commission Joint workshop with the Citizen Planning Advisory Committee on February <br /> 8, 1999. He also summarized the positions expressed by the Planning Advisory <br /> Committee members at their meeting of February 16, 1999. <br /> Public Speakers: Tim Lunney of Walter Keller, Inc.; Robert Lilienfeld, Chairperson of the <br /> Citizen Planning Advisory Committee; Bill Lone; Ellen Wynne; Kobi Karp; Cliff <br /> Schulman, Esq.; Sam Richter; Charles Sieger; Gerald Goodman; Peter Weiner; Steve <br /> Lesnick <br /> City Attorney Lynn Dannheisser clarified Mr. Lunney's proposed amendment to page 31, <br /> Section 33-222 (4)(b), by noting that the first paragraph was a repetition of already <br /> proposed language and could therefore be stricken from the amendment handout. <br /> Robert Lilienfeld, Chairperson of the Citizen Planning Advisory Committee reviewed the <br /> views of the Committee, noting they were in favor of aiding quality hotel development, <br /> but the Committee was not in favor of going beyond a FAR of 3.5. He said he was <br /> personally opposed to unlimited height, and suggested a maximum height of 500 feet. <br /> City Manager DiPietro requested an amendment to pages 32 and 37, adding the words <br /> "and management." Commissioner Morrow moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded <br /> a motion to approve adding the words "and management" to pages 32 and 37. The <br /> motion was approved by a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> Vote: Commissioner Iglesias y <br /> Commissioner Kauffman Les <br /> Commissioner Morrow yes <br /> Vice-Mayor Turetsky ves <br /> Mayor Samson des <br /> Cliff Schulman, Esq., used diagrams to propose allowing lots with widths of 400' or larger <br /> to be permitted to construct a building wider than 200'.
