Commissioner Turetsky moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to adopt the <br /> ordinance on second reading. Ordinance No.99-85 was adopted by a roll call vote of 5-0 <br /> in favor. <br /> Vote: Commissioner Iglesias y <br /> Commissioner Kauffman y <br /> Commissioner Turetsky y <br /> Vice-Mayor Morrow eses <br /> Mayor Samson <br /> 9. RESOLUTIONS: <br /> 9A. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br /> BEACH,FLORIDA, ADOPTING A POLICY FOR THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN <br /> DIGNITY AND THE PREVENTION OF HATE CRIMES; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> ACTION: City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title and Commissioner Lila Kauffman <br /> introduced her proposed resolution. <br /> Public Speakers: Chief Maas; Mary Ann Eicke <br /> Commissioner Turetsky moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to approve <br /> the resolution. Resolution No. 99-178 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 9B. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br /> BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE, IN ACCORDANCE <br /> WITH SECTION 932.7055 FLORIDA STATUTES(1998)TO EXPEND $62,712.17 FOR <br /> THE PURPOSES SET FORTH HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> ACTION: City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title and Police Chief Fred Maas introduced <br /> the proposed resolution. <br /> Public Speakers: none <br /> Commissioner Kauffman asked about having cameras at intersections and using public safety <br /> officers. City Manager Neustadt said these funds couldn't be used for salaries,only for capital <br /> expenditures. <br /> Vice Mayor Morrow moved and Commissioner Turetsky seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution.
