Locate reinforcing splices as directed by Engineer. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 <br /> <br />PLACEMENT: <br />A. Place, support and secure reinforcement against displacement. Do not deviate from required <br />position. <br /> <br />B. Maintain concrete cover around reinforcing as follows: Item Coverage, Supported Slabs 1-1/2 <br />inches Walls 1-1/2 inches, Columns 1-1/2 inches <br /> <br />C. Accommodate placement of formed openings. <br /> <br />D. Lap splice reinforcing bars 48 bar diameters unless indicated otherwise by Engineer. <br /> <br />3.02 <br /> <br />FIELD QUALITY CONTROL: <br />A. Section 01001 - Basic Requirements: Field inspection. <br /> <br />B. Inspect for acceptability. Obtain Engineer's approval prior to placing repair concrete. <br /> <br />3.03 <br /> <br />SCHEDULES: <br />A.
