Provide labor, materials, and installation required to complete the Project. <br /> <br />1.02 <br /> <br />RELATED SECTIONS <br />A. General Conditions <br /> <br />B. The following codes and standards shall govern workmanship and materials unless modified more <br />stringently hereinafter. <br />1. Standard Building Code (SBC). <br /> <br />1.04 <br /> <br />MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />A. Measurement and payment will be included in the lump sum and unit cost prices for the appropriate work <br />items, as shown in the Bid Schedule as required for those items for the completion of the work which price <br />and payment shall constitute full compensation for furnishing materials and performing work in connection <br />herewith and as specified in the scope of work under this section. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 <br /> <br />MATERIALS <br />A. Caulking Compounds - Silicone, polysulfide, and acrylic polymer sealants are optional, except where use <br />of one or the other is specifically called for in these documents or where one or the other is not <br />recommended for use by the manufacturer. <br />1. Silicone: Dow Corning 780, G.E. 1200 or 1300. <br />2. Polysulfide: Thiokol, Pecora, U.S. TT-S-00230. <br />3. Acrylic: Tremco, Pecora, U.S. TT-S-00230. <br /> <br />B. Sealant Backup - Polyethylene Foam - Dow Ethafoam S.B., Tremco, and Pecora. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 <br /> <br />WORKMANSHIP AND INSTALLATION <br />A. Provide application conforming to the manufacturers recommendations. <br />1. Use sealant manufacturer’s primers, solvents, and thinners. <br />2. Clean and prepare surfaces as recommended. <br />3. Tool joints with OWNER selected color and remove excess sealant. <br /> <br />B. Provide caulking where indicated in the Drawings, Specifications, and as listed below: <br />1. Joints subject to weather and/or air infiltration. <br />2. At perimeter of items set in exterior walls.
