Samson Oceanfront Park <br />City of Sunny Isles <br />Technical Specifications <br />STUCCO, CEMENT PLASTERING 092400-1 <br />SECTION 092500 - STUCCO, CEMENT PLASTERING <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 <br /> <br />THE REQUIREMENT: <br />A. The Contractor shall furnish and install the stucco exterior finish of all ceiling and wall surfaces where <br />shown on the drawings and specified herein. <br /> <br />B. Stucco is a final architectural treatment prior to painting and therefore it shall provide a decorative, <br />durable, consistent, even finish with no imperfections of the substrate telegraphing through the stucco. <br /> <br />1.02 <br /> <br />REFERENCES: <br />A. Except as modified by governing local codes and by this specification, conforms to provisions and <br />recommendations of the following standards. <br />1. ASTM C 926-98. <br />2. Portland Cement Plaster Manual (Stucco) for reference. <br /> <br />1.03 <br /> <br />SUBMITTALS <br />A. Manufacturer's Data: Submit eight copies of manufacturer's specifications and installation instructions for <br />each material required, including other data as may be required to show compliance with these <br />specifications. <br /> <br />B. Sample: For final review of each texture, complete one wall area on job site 5 working days minimum <br />before proceeding with the work. <br /> <br />1.04 <br /> <br />DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING: <br />A. Source of supply: Do not change brands or source of supply for materials during course of work. <br /> <br />B. Protection: Deliver materials except for sand and water in manufacturer's unopened containers fully <br />identified with name, brand, type and grade. Protect stucco materials from contamination and dampness <br />until used. Store in a dry ventilated space off the ground. Protect lime putty from sun exposure and prevent <br />excessive evaporation when stored. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 <br /> <br />PRODUCTS: <br />A. Aggregates: <br />1. Portland Cement stucco base aggregates shall be ASTM C 897 Specifications Aggregates for Job- <br />Mixed Portland Cement-Based Plaster. <br />2. Portland Cement stucco finish shall be graded silica sand passing a 30-mesh screen. <br /> <br />B. Metal Lath: Shall be FS-UU-B-790A grade D, style 2, metal lath (stucco) reinforcement with asphalt- <br />impregnated paperback. <br /> <br />C. Portland Cement: ASTM C 150, Type I or Type II. <br /> <br />D. Lime: Shall be hydrated, ASTM C 207, Type S. <br /> <br />E. Accessories: Corner beads, casing beads and expansion joints; Polyvinyl PVC. <br />2.02 MIXES:
