SAMSON OCEANFRONT PARK <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL 01570-1 <br /> <br />SECTION 01570 TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SCOPE <br /> <br />: The Work of this Section shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment and <br />performing all operations in connection with traffic control in accordance with the Drawings and applicable <br />codes and as specified herein. <br />1.02 CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT <br /> <br />: Apply. <br />1.03 STANDARD REFERENCES <br /> <br />: <br /> A. The Florida Department of Transportation, "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction," latest edition, (DOT). <br /> <br /> B. American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). <br /> <br /> C. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). <br /> <br /> D. County Codes. <br /> <br /> E. U. S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, "Manual on Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices," latest edition (FHWA). <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 GENERAL <br /> <br />: Coordinate with the Drawings to verify which of the following products is used in the work. <br />2.02 HIGHWAY SIGNING <br /> <br />: Erecting aluminum or steel roadway signs with supporting posts, at the locations <br />shown on the plans. The roadway signs and material shall conform to the requirements on DOT Standard <br />Specifications: Section 700, Articles 700-1 through 700-2. <br />2.03 REFLECTIVE PAVEMENT MARKERS <br /> <br />: Installing reflectorized pavement markers and removing <br />pavement markers within the project limits as designed in the plans. The reflectorized pavement markers and <br />materials shall conform to the requirements of DOT Standard Specifications: Section 706, Articles 706-1 <br />through 706-2. <br />2.04 PAINTING TRAFFIC STRIPES <br /> <br />: Painting reflectorized traffic stripes, including edge stripes and traffic <br />guide. The painting and materials shall conform to the requirements of DOT Standard Specifications: <br />Section 710, Article 710-1 through 710-2. <br />2.05 THERMOPLASTIC TRAFFIC STRIPES AND MARKINGS <br /> <br />: Placing and materials shall conform to the <br />requirements of DOT Standard Specifications: Section 711, Articles 711-1 through 711-2. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 SIGNS, MARKERS, PAINTING <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Erection of signs and sign supports shall be in accordance with Section 700-2.2.4 of the DOT <br />Specifications. <br /> <br /> B. Placement of the markers shall be in accordance with Sections 706-3 through 706-4 of the DOT <br />Specifications. <br /> <br /> C. Painting shall be in accordance with Sections 710-3 through 710-8 of the DOT Specifications.
