Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting October 15,2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> 9C.1 An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,Amending <br /> Section 265-35 of the City Code Entitled "Mixed Use Resort (MU-R)" Zoning District to <br /> Permit an Elevated Pedestrian Bridge Between Towers on the Same Lot; Providing for <br /> Severability; Providing for Repeal of Conflicting Provisions; Providing for Inclusion in the <br /> Code; and Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> (First Reading 09/17/15) <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Planning and Zoning Administrator Claudia <br /> Hasbun reported. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Mayor Scholl said we are cleaning up an inconsistency because we did not anticipate one <br /> property be large enough to have two towers on it that they may want to bridge. Now we <br /> have had situations where the developers have been asked to build multiple towers and they <br /> want an interior bridge between the two towers. Commissioner Aelion said as far as height <br /> in addition of ceiling to be able to build a bridge it is not specific? Ms. Hasbun said it is not <br /> a specific, the concept of bridging it could be as basically any metal. City Attorney Ottinot <br /> said it is design flexibility. Commissioner Aelion said let's not forget our so called thin and <br /> tall and views in between and so he doesn't know if that is being compromised by not having <br /> some sort of dictated parts of height. <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Goldman seconded a motion to approve <br /> the Ordinance on second reading. Ordinance No. 2015-464 was adopted by a roll call <br /> vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> Vote: Commissioner Aelion yes <br /> Commissioner Goldman yes <br /> Commissioner Levin yes <br /> Vice Mayor Gatto yes <br /> Mayor Scholl yes <br /> [City Clerk's Note: Item 12A was heard before Item 10A.] . <br /> 10. RESOLUTIONS <br /> 10A. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br /> an Agreement with The Miami Herald Publishing Company, for Retail Advertising <br /> Services in Fiscal Year 2015-2016, in an Amount Not to Exceed $50,000.00, Attached <br /> Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to <br /> Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: [City Clerk's Note: Heard after Item 12A.] City Clerk Hines read the title, and <br /> City Manager Russo reported these are all the authorizations for this fiscal year and there are <br /> six of them on the agenda. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Levin seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution.
