RESOLUTION NO. 2015- 2503 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING RFQ NO. 15- <br /> 08-02 TO, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br /> WEITZ COMPANY, LLC, TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION <br /> MANAGEMENT AT RISK (CMAR) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION <br /> OF THE GOVERNMENT CENTER EXPANSION AT 18080 <br /> COLLINS AVENUE, PROVIDED SAID AGREEMENT IS <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGAL SUFFICIENCY BY THE <br /> CITY ATTORNEY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND <br /> THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of Construction Management at <br /> Risk services to construct the Government Center expansion at 18080 Collins Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City issued Request for Qualifications No. 15-08-02 for Construction <br /> Management at Risk (CMAR) for Government Center Annex at 18080 Collins Avenue, of which <br /> seven (7) responses were received, and it was determined that The Weitz Company, LLC was the <br /> most responsible, responsive bidder; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Weitz Company, LLC is qualified, willing and able to provide the <br /> desired services on the terms and conditions set forth herein; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to award RFQ No. 15-08-02 to, and authorize <br /> the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an Agreement with The Weitz Company, LLC, to <br /> provide Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) for the Government Center expansion at <br /> 18080 Collins Avenue, provided said Agreement is approved as to form and legal sufficiency by <br /> the City Attorney. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The recitals set forth in this resolution are incorporated <br /> herein by reference as if fully set forth herein. <br /> Section 2. Award of Bid and Authorization of City Manager.
